Athlete Spotlight — Patty Stewart

Action shot of Patty training at Cynergy

Congratulations to Cynergy's Spotlight Athlete Patty Stewart!

Patty is the Cynergy Training Spotlight Athlete of the Month because she embodies what it means to show up with positivity and determination. She always brings a great attitude, stays open to coaching cues, and consistently puts in the hard work needed to grow. Her motivation and dedication have led to incredible progress, and it’s truly inspiring to watch her journey. It’s always a pleasure to see her in the gym.

What do you do for work?

I have worked in child protection for 31 years.

What would you like us to know about you and your family?

I am a happily married wife and mother of four amazing humans. Three girls, 25, 24 and 12. We have a son and terrific DIL who have just given us our first grandchild, Beckett James. I’m truly blessed.

What is one thing that we may not know about you?

I love to entertain. I love a full house of love and warmth and great food. I particularly enjoy dancing in my kitchen with my friends and children.

How long have you been training and what time do you typically train?

I started January 2024 but I didn’t start coming with a real consistency until the Fall of 2024.

What time do you typically train?

6 a.m. because the personalities and energy are unmatched. I do enjoy my Saturday workout with my partner, Bobbi.

What is your favorite lift and why?

I really enjoy back squats and deadlifts. I feel stronger doing these lifts.

What is your favorite WOD and why?

Murph is my favorite workout. It’s challenging and incredibly satisfying to finish.

What are your current life goals?

I want to obtain my real estate license. I’m planning to hang up my shingle as a social worker in the next couple of years. I’d love to get involved in selling real estate as my next professional chapter.

What is your most memorable time as an athlete?

I have had many memorable moments during my time at Cynergy. What I really love is when I accomplish something new that I didn’t believe possible. It makes me look at myself in a different way and alters the way I see myself. As much as I may not seem to like it in the moment, I enjoy being pushed beyond my perceived limits.

How has training impacted your life outside of the box?

Cynergy has made me see myself as more of an athlete. It has given me confidence and competence. Joining the Nutrition group last year made me look at the choices I make, the food I choose and how they impact my body. It was an incredibly eye-opening experience and I would encourage anybody to join Charlene and Cindy in one of those groups. As a new grandmother, I am focused on taking care of myself in the best ways so that I can remain present for my family as long as possible. Healthy, happy, strong and present wife, mother and now Mimi.
