Choice vs. Cheat

I had a discussion with a client this morning. She told me she “cheated” last night and felt bad about it – and she didn’t even enjoy what she was eating.  She was eating mindlessly.

After talking about it, we came to the conclusion it was her choice at that moment to eat that particular food. Did it ruin her week?  No – she still lost 2 pounds.  Did it set off a week long binge?  No – she was back at it this morning – had a great work out with a new mindset. Will it happen again?  Probably – no one is perfect.  This is not about being perfect it’s about making choices that get you where you want to be. Did she want me to program that food into her meal plan?  Absolutely not!
