Chris Sexton, December Athlete Spotlight at Cynergy Training

Chris Sexton has been chosen as December's Spotlight Athlete because of his dedication in the gym that translates to his life outside the gym. Chris puts in the work to better himself for his family and to pursue his passions, like hiking in NH. He is motivating to be around and encouraging to his fellow athletes. He would give anyone in need the shirt of his back, and can often be found doing things like coat and blanket drives for the homeless when the cold weather and holidays come. Congratulations Chris, well deserved!

What do you do for work?

I am self employed and have been in the printing industry for 35 years.

What would you like us to know about you and your family?

Mary and I have been married for 30 years and have 2 daughters, Emma-27 and Laura-24.

What is one thing that we may not know about you?

I was born in Minnesota.

How long have you been training and what time do you typically train?

I think I’ve been training at Cynergy for 3 years and typically train at 9:15AM.

Favorite Movements & Workouts

What is your favorite lift and why?

Cleans. They are an explosive lift that gets your heart rate up!

What is your favorite WOD and why?

Partner WODs! It’s a blast working hand in hand with someone that keeps you motivated and on track.

Life Goals & Personal Insights

What are your current life goals?

My current life goal is to live a quality life with Mary and enjoy our time together as much as possible.

What is your most memorable time as an athlete?

My first K9 Kitt workout made me really see what a great community Cynergy has created.

How Cynergy Impacts His Life

How has training impacted your life outside of the box?

There is no way I could have finished hiking the NH 48 in 2.5 years without my training at Cynergy to keep me in shape.
