At Cynergy Training, we celebrate the everyday athletes who show up, put in the work, and inspire everyone around them. This month we’re excited to feature Alicia Araujo, a dedicated 7 a.m. regular who brings focus, grit, and heart to everything she does.

Meet Alicia

What do you do for work?

“I’m the Director of Finance for an architecture firm in Cambridge.”

What would you like us to know about you and your family?

“I’ve been married for over 20 years, and we have two beautiful daughters: Milena and Cecilia.”

What is one thing that we may not know about you?

“I have a weird obsession with game shows.”

How long have you been training and what time do you typically train?

"Just over three years! I typically train at 7 a.m. – but I make random guest appearances at 6!”


Favorite Lifts & Workouts

What is your favorite lift and why?

“Power cleans. When my head and body make the connection, it feels effortless.

I have a love-hate relationship with Murph. It’s physically and mentally taxing, and I usually end up in tears—but the reason we do it is what gets me through every year.”


Goals, Growth, and Impact

What are your current life goals?

“To be strong and healthy and lead my girls by example. Oh, and travel of course.”

What is your most memorable time as an athlete?

“My first ever competition was the Game of Ages. My team was amazing and encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone. We had a great time. #notfastjustfurious.”

How has training impacted your life outside of the box?

“Cynergy is how I start almost every day, and it supports me in every aspect of my life. I have a highly demanding job and a family that depends on me, so having that time set aside for myself—without distractions or outside pressures—makes a huge difference in the rest of my day. It helps that the members and coaches are all amazing and inspiring people.”
