What do you do for work?
I am a Firefighter/Paramedic for the Town of Bridgewater since 2010 and a Registered Nurse at Brockton Hospital Emergency Department since 2015.

What would you like us to know about you and your family?
My wife and I have been married for 5 years now. I am sure most of Cynergy knows my beautiful and much more sociable wife, Colleen. We have two daughters, Abby 4 and Izzy 3. We live in Bridgewater with our Chocolate Lab Bruce and 6 chickens.

What is one thing that we may not know about you.
When I first started working for the fire department I hated it because I did not feel that I was a good paramedic. Most of us do not like doing something we are not good at. It took a solid two years of routine and serious calls for me to realize this was something I could excel at. Once I gained that confidence is when I decided to enroll in nursing school to further expand my medical knowledge and patient contact.

How long have you been CrossFitting?
10 full years this July.

What time do you typically train?
9 am!

What is your favorite lift and why?
Squat cleans, power cleans and clean and jerks. These movements make me nostalgic for my football days of training to move heavy weights explosively.

What is your favorite WOD and why?
DT. This Hero WOD hits most of my favorite movements while really taxing your grip strength.

What are your current CF goals?
Stay healthy physically, mentally, and emotionally.

What are your current life goals?
Strive to be the best husband and father that I can be for my family.

What is your most memorable time as a CrossFitter?
So many to choose from but winning the First Responders Challenge was a great moment and I love the opens pre COVID when we could pack the box and cheer each other on.

How has CF impacted your life outside of the box?
I do CrossFit and will continue to do it for my mental health. We all have bad days whether it is because of work, family, health or worse yet no reason at all. If I am fortunate enough to get an hour at Cynergy I will leave physically drained but mentally feeling like a new person.

How would you best describe Cynergy to others?
A family atmosphere whose focus is on make better people.
