"We foster a community of acceptance."

Cynergy Kids Program
Since 2011, the Cynergy Kids Program has been one of the most beloved parts of our community at Cynergy Training. Designed for kids ages 5–12, the program blends fitness with fun while also nurturing confidence, character, and social skills.
Coach Jen Tully, who has guided the program since its start, says:
“It continues to be one of my proudest accomplishments. We have so much fun, and I love to see the kids’ growth. Most of our kids stay for years and don’t want to leave when they turn 12!”
Meet Cynergy Kid’s Coach Jen Tully

Coach Jen isn’t just a fitness professional—she’s a lifelong educator. She has spent more than 26 years as a moderate special needs teacher in Brockton Public Schools, specializing at the elementary level. Her credentials include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Moderate Special Needs Pre-K–9 certification (Bridgewater State University)Master’s degree in Education (Fitchburg State University)
- CrossFit Level 1 and CrossFit Kids certifications
- First Aid & CPR certification
This unique combination of education and fitness training allows Jen to connect with kids in a way that makes them feel supported and excited to learn. Her daughter Kaitlyn puts it best:
“You have a connection with the kids. Because you’ve been a teacher for so long, you know how to talk to them and make them excited about things. It’s a fun atmosphere, incorporating games, which the kids love.”
A Team That Makes It Possible
The success of the Cynergy Kids Program comes from more than one coach—it’s a team effort.
Abby Rapoza started volunteering in 2014 as a 7th grader. She later earned her coaching certification and is now Jen’s co-coach. Jen calls her a “natural-born teacher and mentor” who has a special gift for working with kids.
Meet Cynergy Kids' Co-Coach Abby Rapoza

Coach Abby’s credentials include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Early Childhood Pre-K–2 Teaching Certification (Bridgewater State University)
- Pursuing Master’s degree in Education & Curriculum Design (Fitchburg State University)
- CPR certification
Her positive impact shines through in the words of 13-year-old Russell Means, a Cynergy Kids member for 6 years:
“When I first met Coach Abby at CrossFit Kids I was excited because I knew she was one of my mom’s former students. Over the years I have gotten to know Coach Abby as so much more. She has always encouraged me to work towards new PR’s, and yet always making sure I was being safe when doing this. Coach Abby has even worked out with me to prepare for workouts like Murph. She makes everyone feel welcome at CrossFit Kids and it wouldn’t be the same without her.”
Meghan Tully—Jen’s daughter and one of the program’s first participants—joined at age 7. Today, at 22, she volunteers as a coach and serves as a role model for younger athletes.
Devin Mahon and Addy Holland also bring incredible support. Devin works in early childhood education, and Addy, a high school freshman, has volunteered consistently for years. Together, these volunteers provide encouragement, guidance, and leadership, helping to create a safe, inclusive, and fun space for all.
More Than Just Fitness
The Cynergy Kids Program is about more than just exercise—it’s about growth.
- Younger kids work with PVC pipes and body bars to learn foundational movement skills.
- Older kids are challenged with more advanced movements to build strength and technique.
But beyond physical fitness, kids gain confidence, social skills, and resilience. Jen explains:
“We foster a community of acceptance. The kids celebrate one another, high fiving and cheering each other on during workouts. It warms our hearts to see these kids in action.”
