Meet Dianne Shanahan, Health Coach
My name is Dianne Shanahan. I discovered the world of primal living / eating over 3 years ago while training as an athlete at Cynergy CrossFit. In June of 2009, one month after my 50th birthday, I participated in the first ever CCF Paleo challenge and have never turned back.
Having unsuccessfully dieted for more than 40 years of my life, I finally realized that conventional wisdom and the standard American diet not only don’t work but are attributing to the problem of obesity in the world today. The longer I live this way and the more I learn, the stronger my belief becomes that the primal/paleo lifestyle holds the secret to health and longevity. I have been fortunate to lead CCF athletes through several paleo challenges and have been extremely excited for them as they too discover how living this way not only makes changes in their bodies, but in their performance in CrossFit as well.

It has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me and has inspired me to continually educate and certify myself so that I can continue to help others achieve a life free of disease and illness.
My philosophy around coaching athletes is primarily centered around the basics of Paleo nutrition and I focus mainly on lifestyle and individual needs, tastes and preferences. I also include coaching the athlete around the choices they make and the beliefs they have in terms of their health and wellness. It is without a doubt one of the most powerful combinations to promote change that I know of and I am so excited to be able to work with athletes to achieve their goals.
