Yoga at CCF – July 7, 8:00 a.m.

On Saturday July 7 at 8:00 a.m. Whitman Wellness Center will be conducting a one hour introductory Yoga class for all CCF members.   We are working with LeeAnn, owner of WWC, to incorporate additional classes to be held at the box.   Details will be posted at a later date.

“I incorporate a weekly yoga class into my workout schedule and have found it to be an excellent compliment to crossfit.  Yoga helps with a whole host of things that are essential for crossfitters:  flexibility, breathing, balance, and recovery to name a few.  Personally, one of the major benefits I have found is increased flexibility, which helps tremendously with crossfit.  After doing weekly yoga, I have found that my squats are much improved and my rack has never been better J  Flexibility is definitely something that can be improved by working on it and even doing yoga just once per week has helped me tremendously with flexibility.  I also love yoga for active recovery.  In general, I crossfit Monday – Tuesday – Wednesday and then I take a yoga class on Thursday.  Often after doing 3 days of crossfit, by the time I get to yoga on the 4th day my body is sore.  I always leave that yoga class feeling better and the soreness is often gone.  Just like crossfit, yoga is totally scalable and is for everyone.   I highly recommend you give it a try! “

This will become Bonus Points Week 4 and Bonus Challenge #2 opportunities.

What you need to do:

Yoga on July 7 at 8:00 a.m. will be the only class that day.  There will not be a 9:00 a.m. CF WOD.   WWC Yoga is open to all members – not just Paleo Challengers.
