…a note from Madeline Letchford:

Here’s the brand new, Coach Glassman programed CrossFit for Hope WOD:

“Hope”

Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep.

The site is setup with CrossFit ID, so if you’ve already registered for the Games Open, you have an account. It’s an easy registration process for anyone who doesn’t have a CrossFit ID just yet. We are anxious to see how many people are participation, big or small, this year, so please don’t hesitate to be a part of this important and worthy cause. St. Jude is excited and anxious to see just what the CrossFit community is capable of doing. I can’t wait to blow them away with your workout scores and fundraising dollars.
If you haven’t already, you will be receiving posters from CrossFit HQ. You’ll each be getting two posters for Games Regionals and two Hope posters. The Hope poster is an artistic rendering of the halls St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to tour the facility first hand and do a better job representing our mission. The red wagons and blue masks are a very real part of a St. Jude child’s day. One prevents common airborne germs, and the other helps get them from treatment to treatment in a more child-like fashion that a sterile wheelchair.
