First Responders ALL TEAM Challenge #5
By Keith | March 13, 2010
WOD Tug-Of-War Part 1
Teams are arranged in a bracket style format based on their current standings in the contest.
First team against the last team, second team against the second to last team, etc….
The winning teams will advance to the subsequent rounds.
WOD Med Ball Run
MB Run with 14#
Teams run in single file and toss the MB to the athlete behind them. Last athlete in the line then runs to the front of the line. Continue for 3 full laps.
The ball cannot be held…it must be caught and tossed. If the ball drops, the entire team must stop where they are and do 5 Squat Thrusts together then continue on.
Score is time completed. In event of a tie, the team with the least amount of drops wins.
10 Min Max
WOD Tug-Of-War Part 2
The winning teams from the first rounds of the Tug-of-War will compete against each other here.
WOD Shuttle Races
There will be 4 circuits to be completed for 3 rounds in the shortest amount of time possible.
Each member of the team must complete at least 1 circuit.
Circuit 1: Broad Jump Burpee 20 yards down and sprint back, tag the next athlete and they complete,
Circuit 2: Bear Crawl down 40 yards and sprint back, tag the next athlete in line and they complete,
Circuit 3: Walking Lunges down (Knee MUST touch the ground each step) and a sprint back, tag the next and complete
Circuit 4: Reverse run down and a sprint back, tag the next athlete and complete the above circuits 2 more times.

The KB must be tossed. The athlete cannot walk or run with it. It needs to be picked up and thrown where it lands.
Once you pass the cone, the team must complete 250 KB swings. The KB must reach full extension at the top of the movement.
Toss the KB back down the field in the same manner. Record the time all members cross the finish line.

Buzz, these are outstanding!
One of the things I did not like about today was that I did not get the opportunity to watch ALL of the teams compete, but these photos made me feel like I was right there in the mud with them!
Great stuff!!
Thank you for always capturing these events with such a talent for emotion! Love it!

A special word of thanks to each and every one of the coaches who gave up their Saturday morning to stand in the cold and rain and wind and mud to run with us and push us on and keep everything going on track…it was noticed and appreciated..when people ask Cynergy is such a large part of Jan and my life I often tell them, that after everything else, its “the people”. When I think of those 20+ people huddled in the cold drizzle when I arrived and then picking up at the end in the cold rain and wind…well, that pretty much explains it.Thanks

First- WAY TO GO EBPD! Way to bring it boys! Tug of war finals! Who thought a team all under 200#’s could make it. Hats off to Pembroke FD. It was great battling next to MSP and HPD, you guys made us push harder for sure. Even listening to “super star Fazier”, complain the whole time. Great job to all the first responders! It showed today how much we can all endure and fight through!
Second- Thank you so much to all the coaches/judges!! Without you this could not happen. You are all amazing people for doing what you did! HOlly thanks for the encouragement and pushing today it helped a ton!
