The 100 Mile Challenge
By cynthiabrown | February 28, 2010
100 Mile Challenge Returns!!!
Starts: Monday, March 8, 2010 – End Date May 6, 2010
Goal: to run 100 (or more) miles in 60 days
100 miles in 60 days breaks down to about 1.6 miles per day or 11.2 miles a week.
Running in the WOD’s counts towards your 100 miles.
We plan to have longer runs on weekends. Times and locations will be announced each week.
Please e-mail Dianne Shanahan dshanahan877@aol.com for a copy the running spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet is set up to calculate the distance run on a daily basis and the miles remaining. There’s also a tab that has some different ideas to get the miles in. The key is not to just go out and run long distances every day. Varying your running distances, incorporating sprints and hills will help improve your speed and power.
Dianne will be collecting emails from those of you who plan to participate so we can keep you updated on the weekend runs and any other important information!
This was a huge success last year and we look forward to another great challenge this year!
