I was able to witness some very impressive performances today. I am glad I was able to see Kevin’s…awesome!

I want to point out a couple of performances that may have gone unnoticed. There were a couple of First Responders who stayed, for more than one heat, and after completing the challenge themselves then ran the mile with a teammate(s) and helped them to finish. Matt Lynch and Bob Bailey…that’s what it’s all about. Way to go guys!

Also, a crossfitter who deserves a shout out as well…Deb Pierce. After running the 5K in the rain, she never hesitated, she checked her time and then headed back out running to find the other crossfitters to help them to finish. Nice job Deb!

Me again…one more thing. I wasn’t there to witness this performance , but I was impressed when told about it…Jill McCaughey (who most know can run and run and run, she did finish the Boston Marathon last year)supported one of her 5 AM crew through the entire 5K. I Train hadn’t run a 5K before and was nervous (I have run them plenty of times and I was nervous). Jill ran every step of the way with her. Jill could probably have posted the fastest time today, but that wasn’t even a consideration to her. Awesome Jill! And I Train keep it up, you have been killing it at the box and it shows.

Thanks for the kind words, Colleen. I gotta tell ya,tho, for someone who never ran a 5K before, girlfriend was runnin’ at a pretty good clip! Great job on your first 5Ks, I Train and Laura! Once your mind realizes that all those metcon workouts and all those OH squats and lifts and squats and boxjumps we do have completely prepared you physically to run like that without stopping, you’re good to go.

    Awesome post(s) Colleen!
    So many heroes today.

The victories that we all experience are most certainly our own, but there is no greater feeling than being there to witness these incredible moments and to share in that elation with you.

Congratulations to all of you who pushed through what you thought was not possible and came in today even when you knew what was ahead of you!

Alex said to me yesterday that there really is no community quite like this one….and I must agree with him!
Thank you to all the unsung heroes who support one another day in and day out….you all are what make Cynergy synergistic!

Amazing job Marc! Not bad for a guy who didn’t want to go to sectionals. I want to say great job to my EBPD brothers for their effort today!
I also want to say thank you to Jeff Kelly who after his WOD picked me up half way through my mile and pushed me the rest of the way, you made the differnce! Thank you brother!
Also to the lil tazmanian devil, Pizzi, who kept sprinting ahead of me and yelling at me, thx girl.
