ROUGH is all I can say! That WOD made Grace look nice!

Thanks CB and Lyndsey for talking me through many reps! I was a DNF – and it took almost 45 minutes to get through the 21 and 15′s – but I feel great that I did what I did as RX!

    Buzz,
That was the most impressive effort that I have seen since joining the crossfit family. You are a true warrior and should be very proud of your performance today.

Why does it seem the hardest of the WOD’s have the least amount of exercises? That was a difficult one, physically and mentally. But upon reflection this workout smybolizies the essence of crossfit. A tough workout that requires the “community” to complete it. Since I started this in Jan. I feel in love with the workouts, the intensity and the efficiency. Crossfit. How to kick your a** in twenty minutes or less. But I discovered the real value of the workout was not exercises but the words of encouragement and support from the fellow athletes and coaches. Those simple words of “keep going”,”you’re doing fine”,”push yourself” and “great job” are the reason I stay. Today was one of those days. Last week I watched Jennie T. gut thru that workout and was in awe. I had her in the back of my mind as I completed this workout all the time saying “if she could do that I can certainly do this”. It is the people that define crossfit and make it a “community”. So thank you to all and good luck 5PM with this one because although we may not be there physically, mentally we echo words of encouragement and are wishing you success every rep at a time. Remember go hard or go the F*** home. Now… where did I leave that Kool-aid?

Whoever hi-jacked Bob’s computer tell us where he is and what you have done with him….This is better than when the tin man finally got his heart!!!

Today was the first time I worked out with Cindy and Cara. You two are amazing and inspiring! Thanks for letting me join you. Payton- thanks for the encouragement.

Cmon Rich…you should know better. That’s the rookie cop sitting next to me in the cruiser pissed off because I won’t let him do anything. Do you really think a dumb cop like me could come up with that crap. Jesus…I still can’t find that Kool-aid.

  15. RichB Says:

Damn! I thought you were having a hallmark moment. Does this mean you are still going to yell at me during warm-ups?

AMAZING job today Buzz!!! “All this, just for an RX”… That’s why we’re here, you were awesome!

Gaynor, great intensity on that last set of push jerks, that was impressive!

  17. JennieT Says:

Hey were is everyone? No 4pm class?

  18. Buzz Says:

Dammit. I just spent 30 minutes typing my comment and now I have to erase it because Bob wrote the same exact thing! Seriously, Bob I could not have said it any better! We can all go heavier than we think we can on these tough WOD’s. I saw Deb P. finishing as I walked in and she was doing this WOD ten #’s heavier than she did Chip’s last week(AWESOME Deb!!). Like Bob, I channeled the spirit of my hero Jennie T. today. A heart felt thank you to her and the whole 9AM class (Tim,Marc,Erin,Carse,Gaynor,Pizzi,Don,Jackie,Carol C,and B and Coach Minnie)for sticking around for a long, long time to shout words of encouragement. PM’ers all I can say is we are all stronger than we give ourselves credit for. As Gaynor likes to say..”Bring it!”….Just go heavy!!!

Great intensity today folks! Gaynor, I loved you pushing for RX! You truly rocked it at the end – where the hell did that come from?? Jackie – didn’t mean to hit you so hard, but I knew you just needed me to slap you around a little! You can return the favor any time! Little Jennie T… you were SO present in this workout today. Great post Bob – you SO get it! Marc and Clancy – great performances today! And Buzz… you were today’s Jennie T! You had NO quit in you and you worked every rep perfectly! I am so proud of you! And my other boy, Carse – tremendous effort! I loved the fight you put into it! Great efforts by Pizzi, Erin, Carol C & Donny O too!

I need to give a few shout outs to my workout mates today. I only saw a few of you down at the far end of the box. Marc and Timmy flying through this one RX style. You two are amazing. Carse you are getting stronger each and every day. Nice job of going heavy today, very impressive young man! Gaynor, I didn’t see you at the far end of the box. Nice job going RX(I hope the shoulder is doing OK).Wonder woman, Erin Shanahan, you are a very impressive young lady. A fantastic effort, once again, put in today. Beezers, a very, very impressive RX time you put up there today! You are simply amazing.

Buzz—as you know I was there with you the day Jenny T took it to Chip’s WOD. You hung right in there today just like she did. Like I said then there are days that I am just amazed at the dedication and commitment of the people who show up in the box. You bring it everyday as hard as you can and today was no different. No one cares to leave when someone is perfoming the way you did today so as for us hanging in the with you today there really was no question. So when you look back at the time that you got, don’t think of it as how long it took just remember that it was RX and that you got it done, EVERY REP!
