July 6AM Hanson Bootcamp
By Buzz | July 30, 2009
Colleen and I were blessed with an incredible group of athletes to coach at the 6AM Bootcamp this month in Hanson. Todays test results were a testament to the hard work and dedication showed by all. The numbers don’t lie. There were campers who doubled their number of pushups in 4 weeks!!! Simply amazing. What makes me proudest though is the improvement in form. Form comes first right? Lets talk about…The Squat….The basis for so many things we do in BootCamp…CrossFit….and LIFE. We had our share of veteran campers this month. Their form on the squat was already excellent, but I saw an increase in speed and intensity which every coach strives for out of his/her athletes. Well done 6AM’ers.We also had many new campers…. We ALL remember our first days at Cynergy. Learning the proper form on so many different exercises…fighting through the pain of those first few days. Each day trying to increase depth, speed, strength, stamina, intensity and flexibility. It is truly a proud moment for a coach/trainer to see the development of all these components of physical fitness in these athletes…..Where was I….Oh yeah, New campers and the Squat….This morning was the end of the July Bootcamp and we all know what that means…The Test…Nothing to be scared of. You did it on day one and after one month it’s time to see how far you have come. As I said, the numbers were phenomenal, but it is the form that always gets me. Today these “new” campers showed an amazing improvement. Campers who were struggling to get half way down into their squat 4 weeks ago are now doing them with a FULL RANGE OF MOTION!!!! Well done to ALL. We are very, very proud of you!

Congratulations 6AMer’s!
Awesome photos Buzz…as usual!
Great to see you all in action. Be proud of what you have accomplished in just 4-weeks and think of what is possible if you continue?
Fitness is a life long journey and one that improves not only your appearance, but your quality of life, your energy and your mental health!
Continue to train and continue to push yourself beyond where you think you can!
Great work Coach Buzz and Coach Colleen! Another successful class!

Hey Buzz, Great words!! I just sat down to brag, I mean blog, about our campers and you beat me to it. I couldn’t have put it any better.
You all should be so proud of what you have accomplished. I looked forward to coming each morning and pushing you past where you thought you could go and then seeing the look on your faces after. The “I can do anything” look. Keep at it. You need to make yourself and your overall fitness a priority in your life. You all have the tools to do it.
Thank you for showing up and giving it your all each day. I couldn’t have asked for a better more driven group of campers. Hopefully I will see you all again either in camp or at crossfit!
p.s. Thanks Buzz for all the great photos and for being a great partner!

Missed you guys this week! I did think of you everyday while doing my plank holds. You always say to picture something great when you are trying to hold your plank so when I was away this week I pictured Buzz and Colleen! You both make me smile and I really appreciate both of you! You are helping me through a love/hate relationship with my body right now and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do! You both are incredible people! See you Monday! Have fun at the challenge tomorrow-I am sad that I can not make it!

P.S. Buzz I really do love the pictures! You do a great job! I was even making everyone at my campsite this weekend jump off of a small rock to show them how awesome a picture comes out when you take it on 1-2-3 jump. They all were very impressed with how high they looked like they could jump! Thank you again for taking your time to take the pics!

Kerry…I would say that while your timing on the group junp shot was a bit of a challenge, there is little else that is too difficult for you. You are an incredible athlete and just like Sheri, you demonstrate a desire to continue to improve and excel every day. Now if we can only get you to join us when it is raining!!!!!!!
