The Final Thruster…RX!
By Buzz | July 23, 2009
I have seen many inspiring workouts since I joined “The Family” here at Cynergy. Two in particular are quite easy to recall. The first was Payton Brown’s amazing performance at the “Throwdown” held last fall at CrossFit New England. It’s one that all who were there will always remember. The second happened tonight at the 5PM workout. This particular athelete has had many inspirational workouts and I just wanted to recognize her effort tonight. She came in tonight after hearing some buzz on this blog about a particularly tough WOD. After the warmup I went around the group trying to find the right weight for the atheletes. I asked her what weight she was thinking of doing…she was unsure. I replied that I thought she should go RX. The reply….OK. Great answer, that is what I was looking for. There was some self doubt in her voice, but there was alot of that going around the Box today and EVERYONE overcame it!
Like most people found out today, the thruster was the most difficult lift. That was true for this particular athelete as well. The following is thruster #15…The final thruster! Jen, you are a Warrior!

…..off and running!!!

Buzz, I’m with you. It was amazing to watch the heart and soul in Jen as she gutted out each and every thruster, not to mention the rest of a really difficult WOD. Absolutely no quit in her..ever. I’m always proud to be part of the PM group…..You all ROCK. Thanks also to Buzz for great coaching and encouragement tonight. Could not have done it without you. A big shout to everyone who did this WOD today !

Having been there this evening I can tell everyone that Jen put forth one of the most unbelievable performances I have seen since stepping into the ‘box’. Jen said she would go RX and she did, for every rep. Jen, tonight you were ‘unf@*#withable’ NO DOUBT!
By the way, she ran the last 400 barefoot!
