WOD Challenge: Cynergy Relays

Our sincere thanks to the athletes that came out and competed in the Cynergy Relays today!

What an incredible day and it was awesome to see some familiar faces back in the box, as well as a few new ones!!

Our thanks to Steve Marcolini (CFL1), Kevin Morris, Mike Donovan, Paul ‘Cat” and newcomers Bill and Bob from Marshfield PD….great effort out there guys!

And, Joe Esposito, Sean O’Connor and David Lucas representing the Rockland PD…great having you guys back in here!

Today’s Challenge consisted of teams of 4 athletes. Each athlete had to complete one leg of the following relay…

LEG 1

500 M Row +

12-9-6

Thrusters (95/65)

Pull Ups

LEG 2

400 M Run +

24-18-12

Wall Ball (20/14)

Push Ups

LEG 3

50 Double Unders +

30-20-10

KB Swings (1.5 pood/1 pood)

Squats

LEG 4

400 M Run +

3 rounds of…

5 Deadlifts (225/155)

15 Burpees

-Once the LEGS of the relay were established, the race was off. Each team was assigned a coach/judge.

-The athletes could not start their leg of the race until their partner before them was complete.

-There was a 10-minute warning given to each LEG that was still working. Then the team could choose to have their team member continue or to pass the ‘baton’ to the next athlete.

-There was a 40 Minute time limit on the total relay

There were many gutsy performances given out there today and of course the after WOD celebration was just as rewarding…..great people and an awesome day!

A special thanks to the Hanson FD for their ‘rescue’ today! You guys are awesome!

Stay tuned for a slide show of Buzz and B’s fabulous photos of the event…….

It was difficult standing on the sidelines and watching the performances yesterday. Many athletes showed a lot of guts , letting it all hang out for everyone to see. Get ready for the Olympic Lifting next week!
