Sunday Morning Service, 4/26/09
By Chip | April 25, 2009
It’s not often that we will post the WODs ahead of time, but sometimes it’s appropriate to do so. This WOD is one of the “Hero” workouts, named for and completed in honor of a Crossfitter who has given his life for our country. I want everyone to get mentally prepared for this one… It’s not easy, but it’s a small price to pay to honor one of our fallen Heroes.

I wasn’t planning on coming in tomorrow, but after reading CPO Carter’s story I would not feel right missing this one. Thanks for pre-posting the WOD Chip!

Awesome job done by everyone today. You have the right to be proud of yourselves… I hope you have a sense of pride and accomplishment after giving it your all today. It wasn’t an easy one, but most times, the most worthwhile things are the most difficult. You did not disappoint!
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Possibly the toughest WOD to date for me.Thanks all around to Dennis, Lindsey, Coach Clippa, Rich and everyone else who came in for this tribute WOD.Another one of those workouts that is tougher than it looks, and this one already looked tough!
Outstanding efforts put forth in the Box this morning by all.

Well this one of the WOD that takes you to a place where you see spots and don’t think you can keep going and have to reach down and fight through it. Just when I thought I couldn’t keep fighting Coach Chip would yell “remember why we are doing this!” then 3 rounds of hell dont see, like anything bad. Thanks Chip! Everyone killed it today! Amazing job! A lot of shirts flying off today. Also when I started to walk on one of the runs I was called out to “are you kidding me” and I reached down again. Thanks Laurie. BUZZ you da man, no quit in you brother, proud of you. The class today set the bar for this workout! Proud of everyone today! this one should be one the wall for sure

Yes, I’d also like to welcome the following members to the “Shirts Off” club:
Dennis Avery
Mike Benedict
Rich Pineo
Lindsey Johnson (don’t get excited, she did the “girl equivalent”)
It’s a nice club to be in on those really hot days.

It was hot in there today… And not because the shirts were flying off. I felt right at home in that 80 degree plus gym!
Great job today everyone! Amazing and inspirational performances by you all! That was a rough one, just finishing that is a great accomplishment!
