Sublime : Awakening the emotion of awe.

By Boot Camp | June 29, 2008

Yesterday the 28th day of June, was just that type of day for me. Sublime!

I feel privelaged  and humbled to be a member of the Cynergy CrossFit family. To see the determination of the much revered 6AM group ( John, Sue, Maureen and Vicki), the Cappellini family’s pride in each others accomplishments, my fellow trainers ( Cara, Colleen, Holly, Jamie and Jess) I am proud to be a part of the same team as you! The speed Alex posesses as if he were Mercury himself, the power Jen showed doing 65# cleans for the first time, Eric’s amazing pullups, Diane’s shear will to succeed, Deb’s determined intensity, my brother firefighter Jim’s powerful pushups, Carse, Payton and Manon you competed with the hearts of champions, the shear power that is B and of course our fellow CrossFitters from all over Massachusetts, it was an honor to compete with you. It is because of you all that I am proud to call myself a CrossFitter!

Lastly, I would like to pay homage to the two people who made this all possible. You have both been such an inspiration to so many. It is your passion that motivates us to continue to improve ourselves.

Thank you Cindy and Keith.

Buzz your article captures the emotions we are all feeling.
“to laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children…to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better…to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!” –Emerson

you guys can rest easy knowing many people breather easier because of the work you do day in and day out.

    CINDY & KEITH THANK YOU!

Buzz, what a beautiful sentiment. You inspire all of us. You’ve come so far yourself. At Cynergy - its a journey we all take together.

I just want to add that not only was the challenge challenging, but, I couldn’t have done it without the great support of the entire gym! To hear the cheers of encouragement from the entire crowd, to work side-by-side with participants from different classes, and to push yourself beyond the point of exhaustion for 20 minutes was insane!

Thank you, Cindy and Keith, for putting it together and for all your support. None of us would be where we are without you. It was a great event and I look forward to the next one.

    Buzz,
Excellent post! I’m sure we all feel the same way, especially about Cindy and Keith, and everything that they have begun here. Also, I was so impressed by the “never give up” mentality that I witnessed on Saturday. From Scott’s bloody, torn-up hands to Jess’s big fall from the pull-up bar, we didn’t give up, and that says so much about our character, both in and out of the gym–stay in the fight and never give up–we should all be so proud of what we did on Saturday!

Well said Buzz! I was truly impressed by everyone on Saturday. Amazing what a group of people from all ages/skill/backgrounds can accomplish!

    Great day.
    Great people.
    Incredible community!

I am honored and humbled by your comments, thank you all! I am still overwhelmed with what all of you accomplished, not surprised, but truly proud.

All of those workouts where I know that I made very few friends have paid off and the results speak for themselves.

I was thrilled to see those of you who questioned being “good enough” jump in to this with a pit in your stomach and your heads held high and leave with them even higher. To say that I am proud is an extreme understatement. You are true examples of what CrossFit is all about!

What Keith and I do everyday is a dream come true. I know I speak for Keith too when I say that we are extremely grateful to all of you for making this dream possible and for giving so much of yourself to your training and to the support of one another.

    BRAVO!!

You all said it perfectly. I get very emotional when I look at the pictures. Not only from the physical aspect of doing something we were all afraid to do,but looking at the group of people. The group who I now consider family ( even though half are my family). The people of Cynergy are 100% good people and I am so honored to be part of it. Thank you Cindy and Keith for starting this family.
